great question. intuition is the foundation of both, but ESP, particularly if you're thinking about psychic ability, gives you more narrative/underlying rationale for whatever it is you're feeling. I.e. intuition: don't get on that subway car. ESP: don't get on that subway car because it smells. If you're talking about premonitions, which I dedicate a chapter to in the book, a marked characteristic of premonitions is neutrality-- you get an idea about something that's going to happen as a fact of the world, free from heightened emotions. hope this helps!
