It’s such a confusing time of year. The short days and endless nights send a message to our innocent little bodies that it’s time to shut down. And yet this is the busiest time of all.

Which is why it seems especially appropriate that I took an autumnal hike yesterday while schlepping my laptop in my backpack. What kind of idiot goes hiking with a laptop?! THIS ONE. I felt guilty enough taking a personal day to soak in the fresh air that I brought my laptop along in the hope that I’d do some writing on the train. Reader, I did not.
